Themes and plugins

Make LlamaTree look how you like, and add your own tabs and panels with plugins.

Theme and accent colour

From the palette button at the top right, choose System (the default, following your OS's light or dark mode), Light, Dark or a theme. Terminals and diffs follow, and each Claude session is started in matching colours; after switching, LlamaTree offers to restart running Claude sessions, each carrying on in its conversation.

The accent colour follows your Windows accent by default. Accent colour › Change… picks another: swatches or any custom colour, previewed as you click. Shades are adjusted so text stays readable in both themes.

Built-in themes

Your own theme

A theme is a JSON file of colours. The quickest start is palette › Save as a new theme…, which writes the theme you're looking at with every colour spelled out, for you to change. A theme can set three colours or all of them: base (dark or light) fills in the rest.

  "colors": { "chrome": "#050a06", "text": "#8cf0a6" },
  "terminal": { "background": "#020703", "foreground": "#5cf08a" }
}

A theme is only data: LlamaTree checks each value and can't be restyled beyond the names it knows. See the full list of colour names in the README.

Plugins

A plugin is a web page of your own, shown in a document tab or in the side panel. It can add items to the palette menu, a project's or session's menu, and a button to the title bar. Palette › Open the plugins folder opens where they live; new plugins show without restarting.
